A Late Celebration for My Blog Anniversary

Last August, I started this blog as I embarked on a journey into unemployed writer-dom. I started the blog to discuss my thoughts on the crazy things happening in the world as well as to let you know how the writing was going. It would be my "personal" place to write about writing, to store quotes, and lord knows what else to keep me going.

Then the year happened. So much happened. I shifted a ton, the blog shifted a ton, my life shifted a ton.

In many ways, I am back to where I was last September. I recently quit a job of mine. I am back to the realm of the underemployed (still teaching yoga and health coaching though!) and once again sitting down at my computer each day to write. I find myself promising myself yet again to follow my dreams and make it happen. I find myself needing to find those quotes and read those books that keep me inspired. I find myself scared that this will not work out, but I also know that I have to fully commit to it to even try to make it happen.

So here I am, sitting at my computer, wondering yet again what I should write. Wondering if another NaNoWriMo is in my future. Wondering what words, what stories inside me what to come out. Sometimes I think I have too many stories. I've started a play and a book in the past few weeks. Neither is quite right. Not yet anyway. We shall see what comes...and what doesn't.

I'm hoping to shift back into the groove I found last fall. Writing everyday. Blogging three times a week about writing, about my love of Keeping Up With The Kardashians (don't judge me...Khloe for life!), about race and feminism, and about health and wellness over on Delightful Writes...with a lovely article roundup at the end of each week. I'm going back to what I know works, slowly but surely.
