A little update: So the writing life is moving along. There may be some good news on the horizon and, fingers crossed, you'll be able to see my play or what she will produced in some fashion before the end of 2012. More on that as I get more information and as things get set in stone.
Now to the things that have got me thinking...
First up:
This video via Colorlines.
My love of Viola Davis comes from the strength and intelligence she exudes in her every waking moment.Case in point this video. I also love what George Clooney has to say, but, as my smart friend Gabe pointed out, he can also come across as a little paternalistic. I admit, my love for George Clooney has no bounds and I often don't see his flaws. Alas.
Second:
This is a powerful project via feministing and The Guardian. It is a photography project dealing with sexual abuse. As a writer whose work often highlights abuse and abusive, traumatic situations, I find it interesting and important to seek out work that is aimed at drawing attention to the issue as well as possibly offering a kind of catharsis.
Done and done. Over and out.
