Some of you may know how this year I've began to pay a lot more attention to my body. Between running, yoga, and becoming a sorta-kinda vegetarian (I guess I'm a pescatarian because I still eat fish? so not really a vegetarian at all?), I have become more in tune with my body and, most importantly, how my physical health connects to my emotional health. This was never about losing weight, but instead about being healthy, physically, emotionally and any other -ally you can think of.
This new focus has spawned some life decisions. 2012 looks to be filled with job searching (which has already started), writing (ongoing), and several health/fitness focused certifications (starting in January). I want to write about these things too, but I also know that there are people who frequent this site that rather read about how my writing is going or what crazy article about black women came out yesterday that drove me nuts. You don't necessarily care about my new found love of kale and beets. That is cool, because I am sure there are some of you reading who may be vaguely interested in knowing how much anxiety I have and how yoga helps or want to know the healthy changes I have made and which ones I have trouble sticking to (that is a long list people) so you can point and laugh.
So I've created another site for the more health/wellness side of my writing. It is called Delightful Writes. Feel free to drop by there time to time. Until I find steady, money-making work, I'll be updating here Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and on DW on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Of course, I say that now and watch it never work out that way. I'm trying to create a schedule for myself, folks. There will be cross-listed articles from time to time too because, quite honestly, I've come up with so many writing ideas while cooking, running or in corpse pose during yoga that it may be hard to not talk about one or the other (its like love and marriage).
